Panther Paintball grew from a love of playing the sport in the late 1980's.
After playing the game a few times the future Operations Manager of
Panther Paintball was hooked on this new adrenalin sport called "War Games".
At the time the only things available for the sport where a few base
pump guns and some usually very hard paintballs available at Military
Surplus Store in the area.
Teaming up with a "money person" Panther Paintball began as an importer of
Paintball Equipment in 1989, bringing in the first of many new products to
B.C. Including the first lines of "Deluxe" pump guns from Line SI, The
Airgun Designs amazing Automag paintball marker, and was always at the
forefront of new products as they came out. Panther even opened the first
"Paintball" storefront in B.C., up until Panther opened in Langley only
people in their basements and Military Surplus stores carried any paintball
equipment in B.C.
Over the years Panther decided to get into the actual running of the games,
after seeing a few fields and their fly covered coveralls, and grimy pump
guns, Panther opened it's first field back in 1991 becoming the first field
in B.C. to offer semi automatic paintball guns as standard rentals, ( no
extra charges), clean cammo tops and coveralls, washed and dried after every
use. As well we where the first field to offer Full head cover
X-Fire goggle/mask setups, while other fields offered "shop" goggles,
and a variety of different paintballs as well as private sessions, ( this is
made possible by the large 57 acre location in South Surrey, other fields
are restricted to 1 or 2 playing fields due to their size) offering
compressed air on a daily basis at the field as well as supplying
tournaments with compressed air was another first for Panther, always the
leader and rarely a follower in B.C.'s paintball world.
Never one to rest on their laurels, Panther has led the way when it came to
tournaments and bringing the "War" aspect out of the new emerging sport of
Paintball, colored jerseys and bright inflatable bunkers soon made
appearances on Panthers new "Speedball" fields, Panther was the first to
offer compressed air tanks on rental guns, as well as lit fields for night
games, the infamous Dirt mound field ( trench warfare), flush toilets,
electricity, running water, even hot water, all things Panther brought to
the public to make their playing experience just a little better.
The days of huddling under a tarp during wet weather, or "cash" only service
are mere memories, and never did appear at a Panther field. Large cover
overhead and even propane heaters during colder months, point of sale
terminals, basically all the mod cons, have always been on hand to enhance
your day of paintball.
If the fields of old where "hot dog stands", consider Panther Paintball the
"steakhouse".
Going strong since 1989, and looking to the future for you.
See you on the field!
